The headlines: understanding your learning style is CRUCIAL to getting smarter!
The reality: turns out, this is bogus - as Ethan Mollick, professor at Wharton, explains above in his thread, learning styles are a theory. They’ve been impossible to prove as an actually tangible thing that impacts your learning.
If you want to learn something, you need a good teacher who can explain it to you well - studies have shown that it doesn’t matter if it’s visual, auditory, smelly, or whatever else. In fact, trying to only teach someone based off their “preferred” style actually produces worse results 😱
So don’t limit yourself by getting lost in the sauce of how you can only learn something a certain way.
As rapper Moneybagg Yo once said, “it’s me vs. me,” not me vs. a different learning style.
