⛅️ The huge climate issue that we fixed but everyone ignores

The headlines: 🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗 (shocker)

The reality: remember that whole “we’re burning a big hole in the ozone layer” thing that everyone panicked about for years?

We fixed it!!!

As the best-selling author Hank Green said - “we’re just all very lucky to have people working their assess off to address climate change, even though, apparently, it will go unnoticed and not sway anyone to vote for them..”

Why haven’t we seen this blasted across news media?

If you’ve been a reader of this newsletter for a while, you’ll know that I’m a believer in the unfortunate reality of negativity bias.

Meaning - good things just don’t catch our attention as much as bad things. So when we inevitably fix big problems, no one is in a rush to loop back to it and share the good news.

Our news media is constantly focused on reporting bad things, hence the old phrase in journalism - “if it bleeds, it leads.”

More good news to come soon on the climate front!
