Why American immigrant food is better in the U.S. than in the country of origin

Welcome to Z-Pack:.one topic, 2 minutes - easy to consume and fast-acting ⚡️

If this is your first Z-Pack, welcome - I'm Zach.

I’m chronically online, finding out how the world works.

This is Hot Take Friday 🔥

⬇️ Let’s get it.

🔥 Hot Take Friday

Here’s this take from Persian scholar Sharghzadeh on whether or not immigrant food in America is better than in the country of origin 👀

Disclaimer: he means to say “than the country of origin” not “and”.

You truly don’t appreciate the access you have to incredible food from all around the world in a major city in the U.S., until you travel to another country and realize that, depending on the country, you only have local cuisine as the option - no Thai restaurant or Italian spot, for example, that’s down the block, saucing it up.

Not sure if I completely agree with Sharghzadeh, but I gotta respect the Hot Take when I see it 🫡

And here’s a wild breakdown from the Washington Post on how much the American population drinks as percentiles.

Until next week 🍻

Thanks for taking the Pack,

Zach
